Well Pump Installation Sized to Your Actual Demand

A well pump installation is only as good as the sizing behind it. We size every replacement pump around two numbers: how much water your household or property actually needs at peak demand (gallons per minute, or GPM), and how fast your well itself can refill after being drawn down — its recovery rate. Get either number wrong and you end up with the same complaints that likely brought you to this page: weak pressure when two fixtures run at once, or a pump straining to keep up with a well that can't recover fast enough to match it.

That sizing conversation matters more here than in a lot of markets. Many of the pumps we replace were installed years ago for a smaller house, a different irrigation setup, or a water table that sat higher than it does today. A pump that was correctly sized in 2010 isn't automatically correctly sized now.

Parker County has reported more new water wells drilled than any other county in Texas, and that growth has a real effect on the aquifer underneath it — more wells drawing from the same formations means water levels can drop, particularly during dry years.
